NOTE.....Woodpeckers earn a national trip but in case team counts are down ..all first bracket winners from all areas will playoff for whatever spots are available. (The top two teams from each area in Feb. Titleholder and the June Titleholder...5 total) National trips are always team sensitive. If there is not enough money coming in then there will be less teams going to nationals.
NOTE...Woodpeckers and Pappy's will be locked in at the caps they won the trips until after the national audit.

SUMMARY
The 1st bracket this year saw so many matches that set the tone for upsets and how teams finally placed in the end. For instance, on the first night of play the Windber Moose was up 2-0 but lost 3-2 to Lisa's even though they should have won the final hill-hill game. Than Lisa's went on to meet Mully's Hustlers and lost 3-2 but should have won this match if it wasn't for a couple crucial 8 balls missed in the final match. Not to change the tone, Mully's lost 3-2 to the Assunta Underdogs but should have won their hill-hill match if their player didn't hook himself on the final 8 ball. So the ripple effect from the early Windber Moose match with Lisa's on Thursday carried thru to the final match on Sunday night. It is amazing how one game and even one shot that happened three days earlier affected the entire event. But it did happen.
In the second bracket saw Phil Krisko from the Olde Kegg make the 8 on the break in the hill-hill- game of his match for the team hot seat but he blew the cue ball off the table so that could have made a difference in the 2nd bracket outcome.
Handicaps were practically a non issue. There were only 3-4 players flagged and no dqed players. I saw one player, maybe two that may need adjusted (and those were borderline calls) but other than that, the event ran smooth. Any other flagged players either lost their next matches or never had a good match again. To have only 3-4 players out of approx. 500 isn't to bad. Say what you want but TAP's 8 ball handicapping works!!
